A key part of any build is understanding the possible impacts on the environment and how these impacts can be best mitigated, during and after the project.
Under the management of Ben Walters who is passionate about protecting and preserving the environment, has a keen interest in renewable energy and sustainability, and was awarded a masters degree in Architecture: Advanced Environmental and Energy Studies. Walters Developments strives to build more sustainable homes and follow sustainable practices throughout the build process. This includes careful attention to quality design and building practices, along with implementing environmentally friendly working practices, careful waste management and responsible sourcing of materials.
Walters Developments carefully plans consumer energy use right from the planning stage. This may be through the installation of renewable energy sources such as photovoltaic panels, a high degree of insulation or to minimising air leakage by carefully attention to detailing, and the provision of low energy lighting and appliances. Our objective is not to just meet but exceed the latest standards, and to build more sustainable homes that fit well into their environment and help their owners live more sustainably without any impact on their lifestyle.
During the build process care is taken to minimise the waste sent to landfill. Processes are implemented to ensure excess materials are not damaged so they can be returned, propagated to other projects, or given away. Build and site operatives waste such as; Metals, Wood, Plastering Materials, Cardboard, Cans and Bottles are separated and sent for recycling wherever possible.
This core belief in creating sustainable homes, for the whole of the housing market, is brought to each project..
